Thermal insulation
In times of high energy prices and great strains on the environment, eco-efficient insulation systems are of utmost importance. The Thermal Insulation department supports KAEFER in all matters relating to heat and cold insulation and provides engineering capacities for technically demanding solutions.
We carry out thermodynamic calculations and dimensioning with our own programmes as well as dedicated finite element methodology. Our scope of work includes:
- Static and dynamic load calculations
- Dimensioning of insulation systems in accordance with ecological and economic considerations
- Development of high-temperature and cryogenic insulation concepts
- Planning and performing functional tests for complex insulation systems in our own laboratories
- Designing insulation systems in 3D CAD programmes
- Qualifying materials and systems
